About AJ's Hair Design & Makeup

AJ Lane has always enjoyed making people look beautiful. Beginning as a child, she would take advantage of every opportunity to style hair and apply makeup. Over the years she was frequently recruited by friends and acquaintances to do hair and makeup for special events. Her ambition and talent led her to cosmetology school.

During her trade school years, she was highly sought after for her talents in formal updos and makeup application for weddings all over the Portland and Vancouver area. She was personally mentored by a celebrity makeup artist who worked with many televised events such as The Oprah Show, The Wheel of Fortune and 60 Minutes, and has also worked on many famous people such as Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, and Paul and Linda McCartney.

Soon after school, AJ started her professional business, AJ’s Hair Design and Makeup.

AJ has worked with over a thousand bridal parties, styled a variety of clients for portraits, runway/fashion shows, theme parties and commercial jobs. After a decade she still enjoys every minute of it.

She has utilized her experience to personally train other artists and expand her business. AJ’s Hair Design and Makeup is now a team of professional and talented artists. They are equipped to provide services at multiple locations at the same time or service large group events.

AJ’s Hair Design and Makeup comes on-site fully equipped. They are prompt, personable, versatile, and flexible. They love working with people, and they love to create confidence from the outside in!
